Your Admission, Housing, Routine & Fees

Your Admission to Wayback

  • Once you or your lawyer has submitted your online application, or called Wayback to register your interest, a member of our team will contact you. If you are in custody, our team will book a phone appointment through Corrective Services NSW.
  • An initial phone assessment will be conducted which also provides you with the opportunity to ask any questions and allay any concerns you may have. Wayback understands that recovery is difficult and are here to support you.
  • After your phone assessment, you will be advised whether the rehabilitation program at Wayback is suitable for your recovery. If it is, you will be given an admission date. This is flexible depending on your upcoming bail hearing. If you are in the community, you can determine an admission date to suit you.

Your Housing

  • Wayback has units and houses throughout the Western Sydney region. You will share a room in your accommodation during your stay. As you progress, single rooms are available and provide a goal to work towards during your recovery.
  • You are responsible for keeping your room and your accommodation clean and tidy including your own washing of clothing and sheets.
  • Wayback staff regularly visit to ensure everything is well maintained and to deliver weekly food packages. These visits are your opportunity to raise any concerns you have with your House Manager and to seek help and support as you settle into the Wayback rehabilitation program.

Your Routine

  • Throughout your week, you will attend house meetings, individual counselling, group sessions, cooking groups and Saturday activities.
  • You may also need to attend court hearings and meetings with your lawyer, parole officer or community corrections officer.

  • Let’s not forget about the important things like shopping for food, catching up with family and friends or seeing your children.

  • This might seem overwhelming at first however Wayback staff will provide you with your individualised program as well as sending regular text reminder messages. We’re here to support you through this so that you get the best out of our program and your recovery.

Your Service Fees

  • Our admission team will discuss any service fees with you. Wayback will ask for a deposit prior to your admission to hold your bed. Your fortnightly service fee covers your healthcare throughout your Wayback Program, your accommodation, electricity / gas, internet and weekly food packages. You will be responsible for other expenses such as mobile phones, any medications, your own toiletries and basic household supplies.
