Your Lifestyle Skills

Being free from substance dependence is one thing. Knowing how to navigate everyday life without falling back on old habits is another — and it's something that doesn't get talked about enough.

Many people who come to Wayback have spent years, sometimes decades, managing life around their addiction. Practical skills that others take for granted — cooking a meal, keeping a budget, dealing with a difficult conversation — can feel unfamiliar or overwhelming when you're starting fresh. That's not a failing; it's simply where you are, and it's exactly what we're here to help with.

Throughout your time in the program, you'll take part in regular group sessions focused on the everyday skills that make independent living possible. These aren't classroom lessons — they're hands-on, practical, and built around real situations you'll face when you return to the community.

The goal isn't just sobriety. It's a life you can sustain.
